Whether you’re new to sailing or already love the call of the harbour, Sailability Rushcutters Bay (SRB) offers something for everyone. We sail most weeks from Legacy Marina, right on the edge of the beautiful Rushcutters Bay, surrounded by Sydney’s most iconic landmarks – the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Taronga Zoo.
How to Join a Sail
Bookings are essential, please reserve your spot at least 24 hours in advance so our volunteer crew may prepare boats and skippers. Please note the cost of sailing for individual non-members is $40 and a whole boat for 6 people is $100.

- Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water (we supply lifejackets and spare gear if needed).
On arrival, sign the sailors’ list with your emergency contact details.
Sailing Days
Group Sails
Ideal for community or disability support groups, these sails offer a relaxed introduction to Sydney Harbour. Each of our boats takes up to four participants and two carers and includes a skipper and crew.
- Most group sails run 11am – 12pm
- Cost: $100 per boat
- Email our Group Coordinator to find a time that suits your group.
Social Sails
Held on Saturday mornings (9am–12pm) and other days when skippers are available, our social sails are a chance to learn, explore, or simply unwind on the water.
- $40 for non-members, $20 for members

Racing
For sailors keen to test their skills, we participate in weekly harbour races across Sydney. Whether you’re tacking for position or trimming for speed, it’s all about teamwork, learning, and fun.
- Races are held Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (times vary by season, please check the calendar).
- New sailors should join a few social sails before racing.
- Non-members must sign up for SailPass before joining our boats in a race for insurance purposes.
