Our Story – Sailing for Everyone

At Sailability Rushcutters Bay (SRB), we believe sailing should be for everyone – no matter your ability.
Since our first launch from RAN Sailing Association in Rushcutters Bay, our goal has been to open Sydney Harbour to all – empowering people to take the helm, build confidence, feel part of a team and experience the joy of freedom on the water.
We welcome sailors from all walks of life – including those with physical or intellectual disabilities, people who are socially or financially disadvantaged, and anyone over 18 who dreams of feeling the breeze fill their sails.
A community afloat
Our programs are designed to teach sailing skills, teamwork, and self-belief in a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. Each week, our volunteer crew runs group sails, social sails, and friendly races across the harbour – all from our accessible fleet, including two Salvos (each seating up to eight) and one Sonar, specially adapted for racing.
Run entirely by volunteers, SRB is more than a sailing club – it’s a community afloat, built on camaraderie, courage, and the shared joy of being on the water.
